What Makes Us Special
Expansive Play Areas
A huge sandpit, water play zones, and a mud kitchen encourage exploration, creativity, and sensory learning.
Adventure Opportunities
Ladders, planks, swings, and crates inspire imaginative play and help children build important physical and cognitive skills.
Calm and Creative Spaces
Dedicated quiet areas are perfect for storytelling, art activities, or simply enjoying the peace of nature.
Child-Centered Learning
We follow the children’s interests, allowing them to learn at their own pace and readiness. While our approach is refreshingly different, we still meet all the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements.
Community and Connection
Our inclusive environment fosters relationships across all ages. Younger children learn from observing their older peers, while older children develop empathy and leadership skills by helping and nurturing the little ones.
Year-Round Comfort
With two spacious polytunnels and a cozy summerhouse, we ensure that children have warm and sheltered spaces whenever needed, rain or shine.
At our outdoor nursery, every day is an adventure where children develop confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning.
Our local Community
We believe in connecting children with the world around them, fostering curiosity, and building essential life skills.
Farm Adventures
With unlimited access to Wigfield Farm, our children have the unique opportunity to learn about animals up close, developing a deeper understanding of nature and their environment.
Exploring Beyond
Group outings to the nearby country park and the Trans Pennine Trail allow children to experience diverse natural settings, meet new people, and engage with their local community. These adventures help them:
- Build physical stamina and walking skills
- Develop social and communication abilities
- Enhance their capacity to follow instructions and navigate new experiences
Through these experiences, our children not only grow in confidence but also cultivate a sense of belonging and appreciation for the world around them.
